Student Council
Our Monarchs run an active Student Council. Elections are held in September annually for the office of President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Historian. In addition, each 5th -6th-grade class elects two Class Representatives to attend the Student Council meetings with our Officers.
Meetings are held twice a month. They are led by the Student Council President and run through Parliamentary Procedure. We have two staff Advisors for Student Council. Our Advisors are Ms. Vosough, 5th-grade teacher, Ms. Ackland, 5th/6th-grade teacher, and Mr. Torres, Principal.
Student Council leaders help run the awards assemblies, deliver news of upcoming events and dress-up days to the classrooms, create posters, and advertise upcoming projects and activities. Student Council sponsors Toys for Tots, the Canned Food Drive, and participates in Family Fun Nights.
