Mariposa’s mission is to support development of the whole child through

implementation of the multi-tiered system of Positive Behavior Interventions and

Supports. Students develop strength in character with a monthly trait focus from

John Wooden’s Pyramid of Success. Mariposa also supports positive behavior

with the mantra, Mariposa Monarchs S.O.A.R. with kindness and strength (Spirit,

Open-minded, Accountable, and Respectful). Monarchs honor and celebrate

diversity and understand that learning is a collaboration between students, staff

and the community. Together, they share a common goal of providing a positive

student-centered learning environment that prepares students to become

responsible and ethical members of society.
